Val Thorens in a nutshell
Located in Savoy, the Val Thorens ski station is at an altitude of 2400 meters!
It is Europe's highest ski resort and is also located at the highest point of the Three Valleys ski area. It is home to the world's largest ski area: the 3 Vallées.
The resort is relaxed, friendly, lively and gourmet. The vast variety of internationally oriented events and activities offer a wealth of experiences.
How to get here
- From the A43 motorway, go toward Grenoble, and then follow the signs for Albertville.
- Take Exit n°40, heading toward St Jean de Belleville/les Menuires/Val Thorens.
- The Val Thorens resort is 40km away, at the end of this mountain road.
Nearest SNCF railway station: Moûtiers Salins-les-Bains.
If you're taking the Eurostar train from London, or the Thalys train from Amsterdam or Brussels, the train takes you directly to Moûtiers.
